本日の配布資料である[[http://projecteuclid.org/DPubS/Repository/1.0/Disseminate?handle=euclid.ss/1063994968&view=body&content-type=pdf_1|Second Thoughts on the Bootstrap]]は、Bootstrap法という統計学の一手法についての短めの論文である。[[http://www.imstat.org/sts/|Statistical Science]]という論文誌は、[[http://www.imstat.org/|Institute of Mathematical Statistics]]という組織が発行しており、少し古いが、その雑誌の[[http://projecteuclid.org/DPubS?service=UI&version=1.0&verb=Display&page=toc&handle=euclid.ss/1063994964|2003年(Vol. 18)のNo.2]]に掲載されている。著者のBradley Efronは、1979年にBootstrap法を提案した研究者であり、25周年を記念した特集号の巻頭に招待されてこの論文を掲載した。
